Our school is located in the southeast corner of Coeur d'Alene in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees. We take pride in our friendly and caring atmosphere dedicated to quality education for all learners. The school opened its doors in the fall of 1993. Fernan Elementary provides education to approximately 500 students in preschool through Grade 5. The district preschool program for 80+ children with special needs is housed at Fernan.

Fernan is proud to be working on becoming an International Baccalaureate School. We are implementing the Primary Years Program (PYP) which is the elementary level of IB.  See information about the program under the Quick Links to find out more.
